URBAN COASTS: A PRIMER FOR PLANNERS Nominations are hereby solicited for inclusion in a book on case histories of successful urban coastal projects. COASTAL PARKS Most city dwellers today experience nature through city parks, but it is the coastal park that allows its citizens to experience "the infinite" first hand. Well designed urban coastal parks and public areas often help define a city. Examples like the Chicago lakefront or San Antonio riverfront provide inspiration to planners from other cities that are in need of waterfront redevelopment. |
